One does not imagine rain in their image of Sydney, Australia, or at least I don’t. But we arrived to a rainy city and the rain continued on and off for our final 3 days in Sydney. In the end, I think it made it easier to leave this warm and sunny continent. Highlights from these days included meeting up with Pam and Scott for a fabulous dinner in Dee Why, and then again a most hospitable lunch at their new place in Wheeler Heights, both in the northern beaches area of Sydney. How fun to reunite with warm and generous people we met only for a few days, 5 years ago. We are grateful for their kindness and hope to see Pam again soon in Victoria for her specialized massage course. The second highlight was not only a tour of the Sydney Opera House but we went to see a performance of Mozart’s Opera “The Magic Flute”, at the Opera House on our last night. Held in the second largest performing hall (the left one when you look at a picture of the Opera House), it was an absolutely incredible way to end our visit.
