Sorry I haven't posted in a few days everybody, but we were on an island with no internet. This particular island is named Rottnest island, or "Rotto." There are no cars or trucks except for service vehicles. We biked everywhere on the island, which wasn't hard because it is so small. We went snorkelling everyday and saw amazing fishies. They were bright pink, blue, orange, white, and purple. It was really cold for snorkelling at some beaches, but we went snorkelling there anyways. We went to the bakery most days or to the general store or to restaurants. We got ice cream on the last day at a famous local Perth ice cream place called Simmo's. We went biking all over the island and it was quite hilly, but it was fun, because I like biking. Also, we biked to a big huge enormous gun on a big hill that was fun to ride down. It had been for WWII but it never got used in a real battle. Lots of the Perth war operation was operated by women. They sent and received messages about enemy boats and planes and stuff and then they told the men to fire at them with their fat guns, so I thought that was pretty cool. At Rotto, we did a sort of race with a worksheet booklet, and we had to go to the cemetery, the museum, underwater, to the big gun and lots of the other places. At the end, we all got ice cream, so that was a pretty good deal. Me and Bella were on a team, and Luci and Kali were on the other team. Me and Bella's uniform was shoes that we drew lightning bolts on with fabric markers. They were pretty cool. Right now, I am watching the Aussie open, Canada Vs. Australia. They are actually not grunting! Oh, by the way, it's women. 'til next time, Lia
Ps. The island is infested with native Quakkas, basically a cross between a rat and a kangaroo.
One of many bike racks Out of the chilly water (Oh, by the way, I got a new bathing suit)
Nice bike there Lia.
Wow your soooo tanned.
That quakka looks cute and fluffy but at the same time it looks mean and grumpy.
I cant wait to hear about your travels next time!
