Oh my gosh, I hate long flights. Especially in Asia. I mean really, you can't eat noodles for breaky, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Also, there were lots of strange people on the light from Beijing. They kept looking over their seat and staring at me. It was very weird and annoying. They also weren't exactly "light" packers. One person was sitting next to my dad by the window, and he tried to get by him with about four suitcases. Anyways, another thing I hate about long flights is that I can't move. Sooooooo annoying, and then I feel like I could go for a long intense game of team tag in the bushes at school. The only thing I like about them is movies. Oh, right, almost forgot to tell you, we had to sleep at the Beijing airport, and then get up at 1 to go to Singapore. We flew over Alaska and Siberia on the way to Beijing. Finally, when we got to Aussie, we picked up our luggage (someone ripped the zippers off my suitcase, don't ask me why) and then met our friends Luci (my age), Bella (Kali's age), Jon (the dad), and Erika ( the mom). After 40 hours in the same clothes, I didn't want to do anything but have a shower or go in a pool, and that's good, because they have a pool. We are staying at their house for 3 weeks. And I haven't had a shower in a looong time because we're always surfing or swimming in the pool. Anyways, yesterday, we met our other friends Jan (pronounced yawn) and Eve, who are also Kali and I's age. (They live in Switzerland and they get to go skiing a lot at school. ) We went surfing today with Jan, Jon and Luci, but I already got a sunburn yesterday. The ocean in Australia is like a hot tub with sharks, jellyfish, and other fun poisonous things. I've been living in my swimsuit and ball cap. Hopefully you're not, because it's not that warm in Victoria, sorry to rub it in, but ha! Okay, 'til next time, chilly Canadians! PS. Luci and Bella have two dogs! PPS. Happy New Year Lia!! I love the photos! Looks like you're having a marvellous time – except for the flight – and we're all envious of the sunshine. No news here in the neighbourhood. How could anything exciting be happening when the Lancasters are away!

Happy New Year!!! Looks like you are having a great time. Oh my gosh Lia! I know exactly how you feel. Being crammed in that little space for such a loooooong time! Except they didn't look at me. Oh and the movies were awesome.
