Well, nothing really to say here. It was hot, deserty, and hot. The only thing I enjoyed was a sand boarding in the giant desert. It was really awesome, and we met a couple from Québec and I spoke french to them a lot. We hopped in to a dune buggy and the driver went crazy, going up and down vertical slopes and nearly tipping over. I was in the front, so I got to see where we were sort of. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, but oh well. We sand boarded down some big dunes, but it was better going headfirst, because it is not like surfing where you can jump off if you mess up on a turn, you're strapped in. We watched the sunset over the giant sand dunes, and we could see the giant dune in the middle of Ica.
Sunset Sandboarding
We ate dinner at the only place that had an english menu. I'm getting better at spanish since I'm sort of forced to since nobody speaks english. Oh, by the way, never ever do overnight buses in Peru, and if you can help it, any buses over 2 hours, they suck and it's always too hot or too cold and the movies are all in spanish and they are played at about the highest volume possible with no headphones so everyone has to listen. And there is no air ventilation.
Another good thing was our host, Geancarlos, who showed us this awesome winery where we got food. He was very funny and always trying to learn new english words.
